History

Poussières de Vie (literally Dust of Life) is the translation of a Vietnamese phrase describing street children. Our association was created in 2002 by Patrick Désir and Olivier Petiot. The aim of PdV is to help street children in Ho Chi Minh City by giving them the means to support themselves and their families not by begging but by going back to school or learning a trade.

Patrick Désir has been based in Ho Chi Minh City since 1998, where he manages his own IT service company, both his grand mothers are Vietnamese. Olivier Petiot is based in Paris, where he also manages an IT company, his maternal grandmother is Vietnamese.
