Vinh Son 1 orphanage project Analyse of the situation in VS1 in order to define some adequate action plans.
Vinh Son 6 orphanage project Building new kitchen and dining room.
Vinh Son 4 orphanage project "Improve the health situation by building new toilets, new showers with a garden to filter dirty water. Employ one social worker to take care of some of the 120 children of this orphanage."
Vinh Son 2 orphanage project "Employ two social workers to take care of some of the 200 children. Form them to better take care of the children. Organizing directly activities with the children : going to the zoo, painting a wall with an artist, go and watch a movie with other young students, organizing a dancing evening…"
Handicraft business project Formation of young minorities to handicraft skill.
Wikiethnies project "A website is created in order to store all cultural and linguistic datas about minorities. Indeed, montagnards have a very rich oral culture : on this website, there will be Bahnar and Jrai dictionnaries but also tales, songs and traditionnal dances. In order to fill up the websites, partnerships have been set up with local teams in KonTum and in PleiKu. See the website : wikiethnies.org"
Eco-homestay project A traditionnal house has been built in Kon Ko Tu village, next to KonTum. It gives opportunity to tourists to have deeper understanding and contact of the montagnards way of life. It also permits to employ minority people in order to make a visit of their villages and its surroundings.
Farming project Since august 2010, a french farming expert comes regularly to give advices to different farmers. He has to take in account the particular farming situation in the highlands of Vietnam. This project is at its first step : applying some new agriculture methods only to "experimental" plots in order to validate the advices given. Since december 2010, there is also another project of micro-credit for a young Bahnar couple in order to give them the opportunity to have their own farm. It is a pilot project. If this first micro-credit is a sucess, other micro-credits will be available.
KonTum DotCom "A building has been built and several teachers are paid in order to give free lessons to students in particular in informatic and in English.
Free clinic project "Since february 2011, a Bahnar nurse is paid in order to periodically visit each Vinh Son orphanages and to keep medical records of almost 700 children that are living in these orphanages. A French doctor working in Saigon is coming once every two months in order to prescribe medicine to sick children. All this organization is full of challenges in order to implement and is not yet totally established : it is being improved day after day."
